WHY SHOULDN'T I JUST BUY A CAKE FROM THE SUPERMARKET?
Hey, we love a Colin the Caterpillar cake as much as the next person but our cakes are a delightful treat and really add something special to your occasion. Our cakes are made to your exact specifications and are made fresh with a limited number of ingredients and no nasty extras. We are also really lovely and hope you will have a swell time ordering your cake from us!
WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
We recommend you place your order as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. In order to keep standards high we only take on a limited number of cakes so get booked in early! That being said. if you need something last minute it's always worth asking because sometimes we can accommodate late bookings.
For wedding cake bookings, the diary is now open for 2020 and summer 2021.
DO YOU DELIVER?
Yes and No. We don't generally offer delivery for celebration cakes, so we ask that you collect from us in Marton, Middlesbrough. In some cases it may be possible to offer delivery but there will be an additional cost for this. This is charged per mile from our base in Marton.
However, we do deliver wedding cakes! To make sure your dream cake makes it to the venue in the best possible shape, we provide a delivery and set up service. Delivery fees are worked out per mile from my base in Marton, Middlesbrough.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
Yes, please! This secures the order for us both. The deposit is non-refundable and is required on booking.
For wedding cakes, we ask for a £50 Save The Deposit.
CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY ORDER?
I'm happy to try and accommodate changes to your order up to 2 weeks before your collection date. However, these changes may incur extra costs.
DO YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
Yes, indeed! I'm currently able to offer gluten free and dairy free cakes. Any dietary requirements you have need to be stated when ordering. Please note that while I create cakes without certains allergens (eg. nuts, gluten, dairy) I do work in a kitchen where traces of common allergens may be present. And I use materials that have also been created in factories where allegens may be present.
Unfortunately I don't offer vegan or egg free cakes at this time but I promise I'm working on it.
HOW LONG WILL MY CAKE KEEP FOR?
I ensure that our cakes are made as close to your collection date as possible (allowing for decorating time) to ensure they are as fresh as can be. So don't be worried if you get in touch a week before and we haven't started baking your cake yet - it's all under control!
Cakes are best eaten on the day of collection or 1 or 2 days after that. Fondat cakes keep longer than that but I would prefer it if you ate it as soon as possible so you can enjoy your cake at it's best!
After cutting, wrap the cake or store in an airtight container.
IT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL TO EAT!
No! Make sure you eat your cake! You have made the difficult decision of picking a flavour and although I've worked hard to make it look beautiful, I've also put tonnes of love into making it taste great too!
I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY ORDER!
This upsets me the most as all y celebration cakes are made with so much love and attention.Refunds are only offered for collection orders if you have received an incorrect order. If you feel your order is not up to scratch, please let me know within 24 hours and we can make a plan to make it right. I will do everything I can to put your order right. Refunds will be given at my discretion
TREATS THROUGH THE POST?
Yes, indeed! You can now send Tallulah's Bakery goodies through the post! Themed treat boxes are released once a month but the Happy Days treat box can be sent at any time! Treats are sent by Royal Mail 1st class and are sent out the day after your order is placed (Sunday - Wednesday.) Orders placed Thursday - Saturday will be sent out on Monday - I want your order to get to its recipient in the best possible condition and this is the best way to ensure that!
Please note that your treat box will not go through your letterbox. Something to keep in mind when ordering.
DO YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
Sorry, at this time my treat boxes do not cater to particular dietary requirements. Im currently working away to fix this as I want anyone to be able to have some joy delivered!
WHAT IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY POSTAL ORDER?
I'd be devatsated as I work so hard to make sure all the order are made with love and attention. Due to the items being perishable. refunds are generally not offered if your items have been damaged on the way to you in the post. But if they're now unsafe to be eaten or your delivery has been lost, do get in touch so we can make a plan.
